The Art Department's Women's Scholarships

I am very happy to announce the TAD Scholarships for Women in the Arts. This important step is part of an effort to help increase support for female artists in these predominantly male industries. We have two full rides and two half ride scholarships available and set aside for this important purpose. All female artists who apply will be eligible for these scholarships.

For the guys who might worry about fairness, there are about 90 scholarships to TAD that you, and everyone are are eligible for. Rest assured that these scholarships, like all others, are based on merit, talent, and need. Gender alone earns nothing. However, we are making a push to encourage and support the women who deserve opportunity and will continue to do so in order to better this program and the students who attend.

The Art Department is here to help. ConceptArt.Org has always pushed for balance and without the ladies help, this community would not be what it is today.

What is the deadline for applying for this? (I did email TAD and never got a reply to my questions)

All scholarship applications are due March 7. The time is now.

You can apply to TAD at www.theartdepartment.org and hit the apply button top left.

I applied about a week ago now.

Is there a separate scholarship application? Seeing from your previous answer I am guessing no?

I've emailed my questions to the addresses given on the TAD website but have not gotten any kind of response.

Thanks for the question. No there is not another process to follow. The application will get your work seen for scholarships.

TAD emails take about five days right now. We have added an admin here to assist and will be in touch soon. The questions and emails have been coming in very quickly and we are happy about that, and are going through to take the proper time to answer each one.

Hi Jason,

I actually really want to nominate someone to get this scholarship. Is it possible to nominate others or are we only able to apply for ourselves?
