    Porn allowed?

Hi, newbie here, so I'm sorry for silly question. I browsed some sketchbooks yesterday, and got my eyes full of porn, and I can't find any rules forbidding this, so I assume it's okay to submit it? I'm asking because I really don't want penises, vaginas, and rectums in my face when I'm browsing for potentially great artists, so if it's allowed, couldn't some sort of warning be in place on those threads? Artistic nudity is one thing (even pin-ups), but porn is on a whole different level.

I know, I sound really old fashioned or something for writing this, and sure, porn has its place (like on the rest of the internet) but that doesn't mean I want it in art.

Sooo, is it allowed or not? I tried searching for it, but came up with nothing.

We have NSFW tags. There are no restrictions on content beyond the universal legal ones.

What's NSFW tags? I'm sorry for being a complete and utter newbie. And what are the "universal legal ones" I'm sorry, but you have to be a bit more specific than that, I'm feeling extremely stupid for not understanding something that's apparently common knowledge.

Not Safe For Work. People are supposed to put NSFW on any art that you wouldn't want your boss to catch you looking at.
I was once on the receiving end of a critique so savagely nasty, I marched straight out of class to the office and changed my major (sketchbook).

Thanks for explaining that to me. ^^

Is there a possibility to filter these NSFW pictures so I don't need to see them? If so, how do I do that? I'm so sorry for bothering you guys with my ignorance. :/

    No its not possible.

Closest I could suggest would be to do an advanced search, select the "no prefix option" and take it from there. But there is still no guarantee that you won't end up getting a rectum in your face.
So if you want to use these forums, I'm afraid you are going to have to take that chance.

Deviantart on the other hand has a total filter for "mature" images. That might be the safer option for you.

Yup, I'll have to do that, but now I'm prepared so I won't be as shocked next time. Well, I prefer that you guys say it's okay with porn, instead of on DA, where it's not supposed to be okay, but it's still everywhere... I dislike hypocrisy more than the random rectum in my face. XD

There are so many great artists out here, that I feel the good outweighs the unexpected (not saying that it's bad after all, it's just that my brain refuses to connect art with porn), and I think the feedback may be way better here for an artist looking to improve.

Now I must do some painting due to overload of inspiration!

I would say that tasteful nudity is fine. Nudity = / = porn. Theres a difference between nude studies with value in them, like muscle, anatomy studies...VS blatant, crass porno poses or pictures of intercourse for no real reason.

Again, nudity = / = porn. Nudity is like Michelangelo's David.
