    The Lost Cities

    Continue on the idea that inspire by the garuda i painted before, this times i make the bird creature bigger and carry a settle in front of it chest, they are looking for the lost cities in sky. Hope you like it, done in photoshop.

    great stuff, I like your detailed style. Detailed, careful stuff is always a nice change from the kind of impressionistic/custom brushy speedily done stuff that currently dominates

    thanks for the comments,

    I want try paint on female character for long time ago, finally got chance to do it, and this is my new digital painting in early 2013 year, i try to paint this art work with different style, something more fantasy and more finishing on rendering.

    Lots of detail, but your value composition suffers.

    If you desaturate and shrink a picture, ideally it should stay readable due to the interplay of light and dark masses. These don't work that way; they become a camouflage pattern. You want a clearer base to your composition than that.

    Anchor the values with the whitest and blackest spot; figure out where the light source is; get the falling shadows do the work for you; combine smaller lights and darks into larger masses for an overall pattern.
