    Icon Robot Scrapyard

Here an initial rough layout and values sketch, the back story is as follows:

A robot that once served the inhabitants of the royal kingdom, finds himself abandoned in a scrap yard, sitting amongst the rusting robotic limbs of the kingdoms forgotten servants. Gazing back at the kingdom he once occupied, he plots the long journey home to make an unexpected return to his royal masters.

couple of thumbnail ideas, probably hard to make out.

edit: one more. Not sure which one to go with, maybe I'll just choose whatever I think will look most epic in my portfolio.

Decided to jump into this challenge last minute.
I'm thinking of a jounrey to an underwater city or ruins.

    A very preliminary wip:

Will have to get the journey/ruins aspect into it.

    /edit
    current status:

I'm confident that I'll be able to finish it tomorrow =)

    Looking good everybody =]

Quick sketch, pretty surprised how fast this came together. One of two situations I imagined for the viewer to decide, 1) she gets sucked into the book, 2) she get's magical powers which triggers a chain of events that lead her on a crazy adventure.

j.zhang - Thats great man, and prity impressive how fast you put it together. It would be awesome if you had time to polish it up some more before the deadline tomorrow.

Benedikt - Really nice progress, i like the mood that light is creating from the submarine. A possible suggestion would be to perhaps push the sunken city elements abit more rather than just the statue. Doesnt have to be really obvious, but maybe some silhouettes of man made objects like towers or buildings of some sort. Great job so far.

neilpa77 - They're both really nice and have great mood. I'm drawn to version 1 but i like the contrast of the robot and the sky in version 2.

    mines still rough 0_o
