Ah, that makes sense. Yeah, def in your element then, and, umm, rocking it. The new perspective piece looks promising, it feels like its going to have a soothing lighting.

Firstly, I'll tackle the 180 degree rule issue. I don't think panels #5 and #6 break the rule because it's the same camera, only lowered. Here's a quick doodle to show that.
    Attachment 1725655
I guess I didn't drew it well because it isn't readable.
As for panel #11, you are totally right! Truly thank you for pointing it out. I have a week left before submitting the portfolio and I'll redraw and edit every problem.
Ah yes! I thought that might be what 5 and 6 were doing, but it was a little unclear. Maybe add a frame or two if you're really wanting to keep the close emotional emphasis of him grabbing his sword, or consider changing it to a mid-shot instead?

@LoudLikeNature : Thank you . I'm leaving the blacksmith in it's monochrome values along with the lines so it can be seen how I constructed it.
@PeopleEveryday: I'll tweak the storyboard further. Thank you for the pointers.

Here's a group fighting piece. Tried varius camera angles and then settled with this one....which is the same I always use oh god...only that it's slightly above them. Held a 12 hour marathon from 10 am to 10 pm and finished this in one go. Now if you'll excuse me, I'll go lie down forever.

Just spent some time looking through your portfolio, love the light and face studies. I agree with Fernando, It's nice to see how you go from extreme technical stuff to flowy character illustration.

This is a really good sketchbook. I love your linework, attention to detail and your figure drawings. Lovely observation on those. Your portfolio looks good too. Good luck with that and with university, though I don't think you'll have any problems.

No crits from me - just keep doing what you're doing and keep pushing your own limits.

Good luck and keep going, and yeah, don't forget to have fun too!

@KiBa: Thank you . I don't consider myself to have a style yet. I want to push the stylization and proportions even more in the future.
@Candra H: Thank you . This is the result of a fiery will and a promise to myself in november, when I started improving my skills: 'don't you leave this to chance or fate! you will get in this year!'

Final piece for the freestyle section. You probably got bored with the thief already, but I find him very interesting to draw. Probably because I made tons of scenarios about his story in my head that I haven't shared. Maybe soon...

Finished editing the storyboard. With this last image, I can finally say with a clear conscience that my portfolio is done. All I need to do now is oficially apply and make a letter of intention. Finally I have the time to visit everybody's sketchbook to deliver proper replies.
Thank you for all the assistance and kind words.

Took some days of rest. Due to strange circumstances, I'll not have my tablet for a couple of days, so I tried my hand at some traditional painting. Tried replicating how I paint in Photoshop. Haven't painted something for over a year haha.
I take my hat off to Scott Wills for achieving godlike quality using acrylics. Also, everytime my scanner scans a color piece, an angel loses it's wings.

This is beautiful! Love the cool atmosphere and delicate feel of it Not bad for not having painted traditionally in over a year My scanner kills colours indiscriminately, so I feel your pain.

My tablet is behaving kinda weird. I think the pen died or something and I just bought it a few months ago after my 5 year old one died on me. Gotta send it to warranty repair. I know I can't expect much from a Genius G-pen f610 but it's served me well over the last 6 years.

Bought a fine brush the other day. I'm currently in my 'experimenting' stage, if you will . I really want to master inking with a brush, because the line weight principles will apply smoothly to other mediums like pencil and even digital inking. Here are my first drawings with it.

Nice results with the brush, I presume we shall see more of it? Good luck and good results with it!
As for my tablet, I have a wacom bamboo fun small and it's the same from when I started drawing,
and that's in august 2008. It served me good 5years, going on its 6th. The pen as well.
Now I hope mine won't die to soon.

Back to art, I would like to see more rhythm in your art, like this:

@BlackDelphin: Thank you . I had to decide between a bamboo and the one I have and I chose the other one because I'm not that comfortable with the small active area size of the bamboo. Either way, both had the same stats. May your tablet hold on for many years to come. As for the line of action, yes, I need to work it out. Thank you for the reference.

Suddenly my tablet started working again! Guess which movie inspired this piece

Do you guys see my last posted image and BlackDelphin's reference image? They don't show up for me. Maybe it's a bug from the server changing thing.
Expect some viking related stuff in the future. History channel's 'Vikings' is so awesome! It's like they knew what I like most and made a show out of it.

It's great that your tablet is working again! Lovely new piece, by the way; it's cool how you use a subtle dutch angle to give dynamism to the composition--I really need to add some edge to my compositions haha so I may borrow the idea Oh and I can't see the images in your post from the eleventh D:

@NeonPoweredFirefly: Thanks man. I shamefully admit that I didn't know it's called a 'dutch angle', always referred to it as a tilted horizon. As I've found out through practice, a good composition must have strong negative shapes that lead the eye across the page. Look for arcs across a piece. Not the best piece to give an example of it but, here are lines that lead the eye to her face. In a piece, we always tend to look at faces first.

Still trying to improve my line work. Lately, I'm struggling with hands quite a lot. I'm at the point where I can envision how I want them to be and literally can't draw them well. This is the first batch of studies of many more to come. Referenced from hand sheets from 'The Iron Giant'. You can see that gradually I grasped (pun not intended) the forms and natively figuring out without looking as much at the reference.
