Gautham - yeah, I'll try and push the mood, still finding my feet with this stuff though, we'll see how it goes . Yours looks solid man, might try and make sure you can see the dagger/weapon in his right (our left) hand, but I'm sure you're still working on it. Like it though man, he looks very assassin-y lol. And scary. Nice work .
Giby - Looks really cool man, the legs look a little short maybe. But it is a goblin after all lol .
Craig Paton - Looks sweet man, nice rendering
Quinn - Looks awesome man, love how you've integrated his painted skin and the armour together. So cool.
NyleLevi - Nice work man, just be careful with the lighting, his legs look pretty bright, considering he looks like he's in a torch lit tunnel. Maybe try and find some reference in a similar place, fire light tends to look pretty specific.

Wish i could comment on more, but good god, I'm so tired.

    Here's where I'm at.

    Hi all,
here is my goblin assassin..goblins r gud in creating their own bombs and other weapons...they are considered as fantasy world engineers......my goblin assassin wear a mask and he works for the king, without any reward or payment for his killing ...becoze these guys dont want money when they are given food, shelter and ppl to kill(which they enjoy the most).....he is awarded with the king royal seal which is chained to his neck...king royal seal represent the high status and power....

Looks good. I would let the light from the torches affect him more. Perhaps also let the ellipses on his legs have the same openings as on the shoes
    Quinn Simoes
    Very nice.
    elephant´s stroke
Perhaps have a light source from one side to make him a bit less symmetrical.
    Craig Paton
Great More than just a goblin he's got a personality
    SixDollarSongs
I like the composition and idea.
    Animare
    First is my favorite
    G@m
    stunning design
    Hyunjae
    Bottom right is my favorite.

    Having fun with some structures.

Welp, this is all I'm going to have time for. Gonna be gone most of the weekend so I wont be able to put more time into this. Not a whole lot of changes were made to it since my last post.

This was a spectacular round and everyone has made some awesome stuff!

So much talent here :/ I feel so inadequate haha. Still though I had fun creating my little WIP. It's by no means original. Pretty much a Pathfinder goblin and something that somewhat resembles the goblin/orc king from The Hobbit.

I feel like mancatchers aren't used enough in fantasy scenes. I'm not sure if I want to be looking up at the king to emphasize the belly or kindof down to show the surface the assassin is sitting on, hence the perspective issue :/

Some random thoughts from me for what it’s worth

Dichotomy Good start but careful not to try to grasp too much. I would focus only the main character if I where you. Also I think you need to practice showing volume and perspective
JanJager I like the rope and harness idea very much, makes him look very sneaky, also thumbs up for the awesome decapitation-device. Perhaps his relative small head makes him look a bit big and burly , mayby scaling up the head would make him bit more catlike
Havok Reed Looking good, good anatomy. Carful with black on shadows on living skin. Always good to mix in a color and don’t use pure black.
Fmaedal lol , i like it. what does the surprice bomb do?
Thujon Nice, I god pose and expression it shows a lot of his character. Think about your values when rendering. You want to have the highest contrast black to white where your main focus is, often in characters it’s the face. In your pic now it’s the big black cast shadow in contrast to his white leg at the bottom of the image. It steals attention from his awesome face.
SimianSmash Very good, I love the rats in the bg One thing about your composition , Vertical lines tends to be static and a bit stiff, I think it might been a good idea to not have his legs and one arm line up with the vertical pillars. You have a diagonal motion going on with one arm which is very good but I think it needed to be reinforced even more.
Craig Paton Super, can’t see anything to crit really
Fdisk Cool goblin, nice work with the costume
Quinn Simoes bad ass, as always ! love it
Paperhead top notch ! one of my faves so far I think
Tomercs Nice, no one suspects an old cripple for a assassin
Ironbyte haha the posing with the knife and his expression is just brilliant! He looks absolutely insane
SixDollarSongs cool charcter I like it a lot. I see you are aiming for a scene with the light coming from below but I think your color and more importantly the values are a bit off.
G@m Just extra super awesome , you have my vote already !

Dude you rock! Thank you for taking the time to draw this for me! I see what you mean. This gave me an idea. I want to show the throne from the front so it looks kind of like you're in the chamber having an audience with him but I think if I did it in perspective with kind of a worm's eye view it would have a really imposing feel to it.

    Exclamation Reminders

Tomercs You are missing wips with your entry in the finals thread, you still have time to add them before tomorrows deadline.

Jager You need to show at least 3/4s of your character and your a little off topic with your cupid orientated design. You still have a day left to your adjust your design within these guidelines.

Speaking of Goblins, I'm super pumped to see The Hobbit.

Hopefully it has the same flavor as the previous films, I dig em'.

Well, I think I'm gonna call this one done. I tried to lighten him up some, because I was losing alot of the character as dark as it was. This is my first time participating in a chow, and man, the competition is fierce! There is some really awesome work in here. Great job and good luck to everyone!

ok, thanks for pointing it out. Won’t have time to fix it for the deadline though so i removed it from the finals thread. I´ll be back in the next round

    Red face Goblin Assassin Chuckly

Uh Oh, I think I left this all a little late , especially after doing COW today and the 'D'SG only to find that the 'D' doesn't actually seem to mean anything so I couldn't post that picky, pity I kinda liked that one.

So it's my first time on CHOW,
My Goblin doesn't look much like an assassin he's a bit too much of a brute and not enough ninja.
Maybe too cos I'm trying to get the Goblin kings court thing, which is a bit weird , I didn't think assassins were so much about advertising their employers....... aaaanyway.
Don't know if I'll make the final but here's my wip.
