Why does Paint Tool Sai make my colors bright? (HELP)

(I'm not sure if this post belong here, but if it doesn't please tell me)

Okay, I'll try my best to explain this...I'm having difficulties painting in Paint Tool Sai.

The tools I use (Markers and brushes) react the same way: I have one color picked out, I'm blending values just fine....but as soon as I pick the same color from off the canvas it shows up super bright, ruining the painting.

I don't know why this happen, and no one has any tutorials about it. Is it the brush settings? Is it Sai itself? I don't run into this problem when using Photoshop (but as of right now it's not working).
