and then all these were done on scrap paper on my desk. the first one is... some... troll-bird thing. i didn't like that ape-body in the lower right, i tried to make it more troll-like in the far left one.

THESE guys were fun! that gross lady demon thing is kinda... mixed up. too many types in one. snake-head-neck doesn't lend itself to the rest. i think i'll separate them in the future. but those biys are cuties. i clearly need to study 'thug neck'-s more though (º Hº)∫

Your character concepts are so good and fluid i am really impressed, love the pelican creature. The poses you pick are spot on good work, you must be studying animation?

thanks! oh man i wish. it's my dream to go do animation somewhere, but for the next few years i'll probably be slogging through college and junk :c

EDIT: speaking of slogging through college and junk, not much time for anything today except work up the willpower to finish schoolwork and this guy on the whiteboard. tryna put cow and bear together, apparently *shruggot*

Wow man, You have a good grasp of expression!

Something about the nervous squiggle line piece really catches my attention.

A real lot of potential here.

Keep on your track and you will get to where you want to be in life my fellow brethren.

the other side of the nervous squiggle was much better tbh i don't really want to upload it here because it was just a stress-reliever and not really... idk maybe.

thank you! i try :Y i figure if i can't make as fancy as portraits or paintings as other people quite yet, i can make good expressions!

i'll try to stay as 'on track' as i can.

I do a lot of stress relief line work as well,
Shapes / Designs, mostly triangles for some reason, I am interested in seeing it

You can private message me it if you don't want to make it public.

I'll show you mind if you show me yours. :p

Joe777k7: no prob :> i'ma try to find ways to push myself, and ways to be tenacious about it too! a lot of the time i get super frustrated... :c

speaking of pushing myself... these are a couple of reminders about my painterly skills... hehe...

Good start you have so far your character designs look very expressive. I am not sure if you already do a lot of them but I would love to see some gesture drawings as well as a couple of life drawings too.

i agree with psychotime do more of the boar! god damn that really standed out from it all, not only because it was in color but because it showed a certain painterly feel, wich is very good, also i love looking at your style but do also come back to the fine arts training and you know the mandatory anatomy studies and perspective grinding because that is where you train your mind eye and your abilty to capture, plus your cartoons will greatly benefit from this training, hope to see more in the future!!

    cheers

I know everyone keeps saying this, but your sense of expression is golden. Love the middle school wolf too. I think we all had that phase, hahaha. It's great to pull that stuff out and see how much you've improved though.

    yay cartoons!

Like your SB so far- you definitely draw like an animator -- lots of quick emotive stuff. Keep up all the gestural stuff, it's going well -- also think about adding some longer studies, and stuff that focuses on perspective. Characters interacting with objects, chairs, stairs, what have you. That stuff looks great on college portfolios

    Happy sketching

Rhubix: thank you! longer studies are definetly a must. hmmm, interacting with objects! i'll try that in my next sketch sit-down. thanks! :>>>

eh, been feeling down and not very chipper lately... drew some fun animal people, but they all ended up bored or distraught... or that loopy thing up there... :C but Katia Managam is in there, so it's not all depressing! *cheesy wink*
