This my base design for a zombified version of Hazama from the Blazblue video game series. The zombified version will be uploaded at a later point in time, but all feedback is welcome.
Thanks in advance.

Well, with the original next to it, it's extremely clear that you're just copying things that you don't have proper understanding of (for example the wrinkles in the sleeves, in the original it's exaggerated but in yours it's just wrong, making it look like the arm has been broken to a zig-zag).
Even if you want the same pose, get a real photo ref for your image and see how that matches up to the original, you might even gain some understanding of the style of the original pic.
I'd even suggest laying off the digital stuff and practice more in paper, especially since the image looks like you're drawing with a mouse. Concentrate on basic construction (Loomis books are good for this) and also in a case like this, draw the character without the clothes first, and after you have worked out the anatomy, then add the clothes.

I now notice what you mean with regards to the sleeves, they do look... Wrong.
I would like to inquire over what makes it look like it was done with a mouse, even though I did draw it with a graphics tablet.
Thanks for the advice.
Now apply the same to everything else.
It's mostly the line quality. It's choppy because you pet the lines (short strokes several times to the same place instead of long, smooth, controlled strokes), the lack on pen pressure and the thickness of the lines varies randomly and doesn't benefit showing the form. Overall it's lacking control. Concentrate improving your inking with real life mediums, like liquid ink and brush and using different grips http://chiseledrocks.com/main/musing...old_the_pencilI would like to inquire over what makes it look like it was done with a mouse, even though I did draw it with a graphics tablet.

Any improvement, or still a work in progress? I tried holding the graphics tablet stylus using the brush grip to do the lines this time.
If I were you I would not go through with the image. You need to learn how to draw first, copping other peoples artwork and then changing a little bit to pass it off as a concept will get you no where. Take a second to actually think about a pop-culture zombie, reference is fine, but seriously, learn to draw without copping.
