    Drawing Life - Darsy's Sketches

Hey hiya, name's Darsy, I had a previous sketchbook where I posted my sketches but it was full of outdated stuff filling the whole page and giving download problems so I decided to create this new one.

Anyway, I'd like to give it some continuity so I'm going to post the sketches from the last message from that thread, and leave the link in my signature for the previous sketchbook if you still want to see it.

This is what I've been doing the past few weeks:

I hope this is not too much to the beginning of my reposts.

You can also see some drawings from my mate Lady-Mignon here:
    http://www.conceptart.org/forums/sho...d.php?t=243787 --> go ahead, it's worth it, we're all trying to develop : )

I'll be trying to post on a daily basis, just try XD.

That's some nice work. Do you draw from reference a lot though, or do you draw from imagination?
My sketchbook Please drop by. :-)

In my last post, the last one is from a photo of Nick Knight, the rest without reference.
And in the post previous to that one, those portraits are from some people I see in the train. That kid is my nephew and it's from a photo.
    Thanks!

Now this is what I've done in the past months, I still have loads of recent stuff but I haven't published these so:

    No ferefence poses

Some of these drawings are from Ron Lemens anatomy tutorials.

Hi there! Really love the stuff, but I'd like to see some loomis studies from you--your head anatomy could use some work ^^

Love the shapes in the second No Reference poses, the one in red. The body feels like it's really made of something in it's simplicity of forms keep that direction!

    I will! Thanks dude! ; )

So now this is from the last weeks:

    Used reference for this one:

This is from Michelangelo's Sybil sketch in the left, and from Ron Lemen sketches in the right:

Some of these are from Ron Lemen, others from Brightman and others with no reference:

10 min no reference poses studies in the left (nevermind squall XD), and studies from various artists sketches in the right (I just stripped the skin off to draw the muscles from memory- this is a very good exercise!)

    10 min poses with reference:

    Tonal study:

I'm digging on your very exceptional studies (especially the musculature studies).

You've got some marvelous work, and I'll be sure to check back for updates!
