hi guys
I'm toward the end of my last project
Long story short
I wanted to Experience with building molds
and i I found someone who's willing to invest the project : statue of a dragon head
the head will be hollow and will contain a green LED seems Through: Eyes, mouth ,Ears and the nostrils
I dont going to post here how I did the molds becuse i that a lot of mistakes on the way (The best way to learn)
If you are looking for a good tutorial on how to make mold I recommend:

My client paid me $ 500 advance
And materials i purchased to make the molde Cost 551$
So I started with a loss of 51$ and wanted to minimize the damage to my pocket
So I used the materials that were available to me and was free.
In the backyard of the factory where I worked Layed a block of polyurethane (Low density)
After I decided on the raw material
I started to plan my dragon so i made a small statue of the dragon head
I took a picture of of the statue and I printed it in the scale i wanted on a A4 pages
useing a saw i Cut the block in the basice shape
and started to shape the third dimension at first I took rough parts with a knife and then I started to sand with sandpaper
Polyurethane is a breathing carcinogen so I started to use breathing mask
with a high density polyurethane i created connection points that will help me later to connect all the piecesin the end
Because thet the low-density polyurethane is very gritty looking for a cheaper way to smooth the surface so i used a candles wax called paraffin (mix it with pastel color)
I ordered from Ebay LED
and driver for the LED frome DX
for the eyes i ordered Flashlight lens 23 mm
I found online the type of eye I wanted, and printed it in the size I wanted 1:1
Now I'll skip the molding part because I did a lot of mistakes and as said at the beginning If you are looking for a good tutorial on how to make mold I recommend:

Next picture it's when all the pieces are the hollow plastic duplicates
so before i start the pointing I need to spray them with a layer of base color
after the base color i start with the mouth
then i put all the pieces together and started to paint
The next step is to install the LED in the head thin add some shadows to the scales on his neck and i finished
