This piece has been a bit of a labour of love the past few days, I've struggled with it and I think I might know what's bothering me about it. Too many focal points maybe? (I seem to do this alot recently and don't know why). Also maybe it's the composition too and lack of interesting perspective, any thoughts guys?

I actually kind of like this, only two things are bothering me. First I don't really understand your light sources, where is the green light coming from? Why isn't it affecting the foreground? And following that, where is the yellow light in the foreground coming from, why isn't it affecting the green part? The other problem I have is the fact that you have yellow light at the front and at the back, which visually flattens the image, I'd suggest switching the color of the light at the front to something else.

Suggestion based on the crits, changed the color of the light at the front to red and made the light source of the green light the water.


Or change the background color to something else.
