I'm not going to finish this one, but theme is very interesting
The poor doctor is running out of time, the infection is spreading though his body and draining the life out of him. His body is emaciated and cannot retain nutrition. The skin is almost see through except for the areas of cancerous patches. And lastly, he is aging at a great rate...He is 35, but he looks as if ancient.
He probably won't last the week.

More progress on the CHOW:
er... I have to give him more scientist feature other than the glasses and the notepad (which is not uniquely "scientist"), but i don't want to put a lab coat on him, since in my mind, he has been demorphed for several weeks and he can somehow hold the infection. The threat is still there though and will eventually eat him if he failed to find the cure.
