Love the concept and I love your painting techniques! The character looks like he's got some motion blur to him, which is awesome. For a critique... I'd say that you have a foreground and a background. The weeds and the character are both in the foreground and it creates almost too much of a focus change from the front to back. I would take either the character or the weeds, and put them in the midground and that might help.
YES that's exactly what it needed. Love it!!
That’s a really badass looking character you’ve got there. I really like the vertical light in his face. I have a small critique. I think it looks like he’s in-between poses, and if he were to stand that way on ice, I imagine his stretched out leg would slide from under him. If you draw a straight line from the top of the sternum, to the ground, you’ll have an idea of where his weight is being carried. If you shifted his upper body a little bit more over his bent leg, you’d have a sturdier pose.
a quick sketch. let the guy above rest for a few day![]()
and here are some env sketches a few weeks ago.

Cool stuff so far. How long did it take you to paint the cityscape in post #8?
I do agree that the pose is a little awkward in your first postings for the ice character. I'm curious to see how you fix it. I guess there isn't much else to say. I'm curious to see more.
about the cityscape: it take about 1h-1h30m [i dont remember exactly].
And the Char above: the first pic wasn't my original idea. i fixed the BG but it's still look...awkward. Like Vylla says "The weeds and the character are both in the foreground and it creates almost too much of a focus change from the front to back".
So i decided to bring him further away from the camera: scale him down, paint the legs... add few things to the BG and remove the Depth of Field. (i mean paint it again :lol
i dont save the painting progress but have some pic here, you can check them. hope you like it

Wow!!! That's an awesome robot!! so epic
The robot pic is def better. There is still something a little off with the figure though. I tried doing a gesture of it. I think the left leg is sticking out too much or something. It shouldn't be sticking out farther than the right leg extending I think. This is just my two cents. I'm curious to know what others think about this.
As for the city scape, did you do a rough drawing before painting it or did you just start painting it? I usually need to do a sketch of it first before painting it which is why it can take me a while.
yes. i see that problem too but leave it there, get back later. thanks for your idea.
i have a rough-perspertive sketch of the city (line sketch) on the top layer, and paint below it. buildings made from brush stroke, and some details are from real images.
add more detail
and a finished work
