    Pilgrimage: One step at a time

    Scared shizless to start a sketch book here but i really want to improve so im going to stop being a punk about everything and dive right into this. at the moment i don't have many pictures to put up but here my most recent one. Comments and Crits most def welcome

    Nice start, but her eyes are too big - a common mistake to make, because they are so important and we pay so much attention to the eyes when looking at a face. Hers are even bigger than her mouth

    As a fellow beginner, i would recomend studying anatomy and figure drawing. It helps with pretty much everything else. I think a beginner should worry more about getting his fundamentals down, doing lots of studies, don't worry about producing finished pieces, it'll come to you. By fundamentals, i mean anatomy, perpective, understanding of form and light... all that good stuff. I recommend books by George Bridgman, like his Complete Guide to Drawing from Life. Also Andrew Loomis. Keep going, and keep strong.

    Agreeing with the previous commenteer, if you want to improve then you should really do the fundamentals. Facial anatomy will help you a lot, even if you choose to keep drawing anime style
