    Mountain Village

    Okay, so. Terribly new to these forums (and not too experienced with art either) and can't really compare to any of you guys.
    Would still love it to get critique on this, though. Concerning composition, light, color and whatever else I screwed up on. It's quite a comic-y style, which I haven't seen too much of around here, so I'm not sure how well that will be received, but anyways;

    It's fine - definitely stylized to the point where there isn't much to critique (which may explain the lack of responses).

    I would say be a bit more decisive about shadow forms on the lndscape...a bit too soft and blended right now. In general be more consistent with light and shadow on form - the towers, buildings, trees, etc.

    Some people, animals, hanging laundry, wheelbarrows, the stuff of living, etc. would add some life.

    Needs a sky...white doesn't cut it. I think you went far too light and were too quick with your atmospheric perspective. Lay in a sky so you can judge the most distant mountains and then adjust forward. Also change up that distant mountain ridgeline - it perfectly echoes the other.

    The towers look great...as long as they're supposed to be penises!

    Good start - just a little work and it could come together!
    What would Caravaggio do?

    Ah, ok. Well, thanks! I'll try uploading something less stylized later.

    I guess I got a bit lazy on the sky. I'll try adding a better one ^^

    Adding more life to it is a great idea, will do.

    And phhfftt - penises are great.

    I don't think that Jeff meant that stylized is a bad thing just that it's harder to critique. I agree with Jeff on things that you need to fix.

    Yes definitely this ^^^. Your stylization is actually pretty nice.
