There's some tangents, for example where the left tree intersects with the snowbank (?) on the left. It's also a bit boring color wise, it feels cold, but I'm guessing from the shadows it's near dusk, so you could bring some hints of orange in to liven things up.
Are you just making it up? 'Cause yeah, not the best way to go. Snow is a very tricky thing...much more colorful than people understand. Photos never do it justice either so they make poor references. My advice is to get out in some...observe it, study it, paint or at least make some notes, etc. Also study artists who handle snow well.
What would Caravaggio do?

Like Jeff said snow is tricky one thing about it is it is highly reflective so the snow on the upright planes of the trees and cliffs has to be a different value than the snow on the ground plane since they are at different angles to the light source. To make this happen you have to lower the value of the snow and use white only for highlights. See example
Am I crazy or does that tree look a lot like on the trees in my painting?

Did you read dpaint's post...? The style you're using is interesting enough but there's just too much white. It's rather blinding and overwhelming and also leaves me wondering where that intense blue shadow is coming from. Shadows like those would make much more sense if there's a really bright sun and a really blue sky, kind of like this;
