    Stop apologizing already!

Can we stop with the apologetic intros please? I mean fuck already. Just pose your question or thought...it will be moved if necessary. Keep backing into me with your head down and I'm gonna do something about it!

    Thanks.

They come straight forward and they get dealt with as equal, not as less. Establishing an Internet forum presence is important to how you'll be considered.

I actually am tired of the "Versus" discussions.

Feel like we need to start drawing Intro "FIGHT!" screens for some of these damn questions XD

Meh, it's just people trying to be polite and show some respect and maybe feeling guilty for not finding the 8 yr old 40 page thread that has to be on a site like CA where the topic was hashed out completely.

But I get the point you are trying to make and yes the vs. arguments are annoying. To me they always read as asking for permission to do X instead of Y, the traditional vs. digital ones for example.

Ha, yeah, I was just gonna mention that myself... Excessive humility I can deal with, but I think if I see one more "X VERSUS Y! FIGHT!!!" thread I'm gonna start virtually slapping people...

Humility/modesty doesn't translate in a print/web format. If you have a question or opinion, right or wrong, carry it and be proud of it. You must remember, if you come into a conversation like a lamb amongst a bunch of wolves, you will get eaten.

True enough, good thing we're all just a bunch of artists, and not a pack of wolves... Well we don't have to be anyway.

You'll have to wait a bit to see the moobs. I'm trying to turn them into a looping gif.

Hi, I’m Sarry and I’m sorry for my sorry question in advance and am sorry if this is the wrong forum for said Sarry’s sorry question, but sorrow fills my sorry little heart over anime vs manga. Which is easier to learn? I only have a sorry 3 days to master one because that’s the limit of my sorry ass attention span and I will probably, sorrily, be pursuing a career as a sorry ass rodeo clown after that, or a hip-hop Sari model.

Sorry to bring sorrow upon you with my sorriness. No really, I am sorry.

    Only if it's real.

Bill already pointed it out. There's a lot of people just being lazy, not humble.

Taking all the samples off the free sample plates and saying sorry, is not being sorry.
I know there are a lot of forums on CA but at least try to look a bit before posting. Post New Thread should not be the "Instant Gratification/Need Response Now" button

Thanks for understanding folks. From my viewpoint apologetic openings and excuses have no place in a professional forum. Beginning a discussion like a whipped cur makes my leg twitch, really bad. Simply being polite,, respectful, maybe saying "Hello CA, can anyone offer some guidance?" is fine. Again it just isn't necessary to hope and pray that somehow you haven't made the ultimate blunder by posting in a forbidden zone...mods will handle moving things if necessary.

Art is not about fear...so man/woman up. If you're wrong about something dpaint will let you know.

And yeah, don't get me started on the whole vs. thing, it won't be pretty. As if art is one thing...oops...getting started...

Or... it was answered long ago in a thread far away, or archived and the person has questions.

    google site:conceptart.org your question

I mean if it bothers you that much just tell everyone that it has all been discussed before and to use google, because it probably has and answered by experts in epic form. yeah....

No, they would rather act like blood thirsty wolves and complain about people being polite. Maybe people wouldn't feel the need to be sorry if you guys didnt act like beasts. I always see complaints about X questions that people have, and how its such a bother to answer. Of course it causes some people to apologize for asking something! Hell, I feel sorry everytime i visit this subsection of the forums. In some places being sorry for taking someones time is polite. I dont believe someone trying to be polite is cowardly, If anything, trying to talk to some of you people is a feat of bravery!

The tide of culture is against you Jeff. If you don't like pusillanimity, I suggest you only interact with people who have grown up without a computer cage around their childhood.

Your version of polite and mine are different. Polite and respectful are the opposite of obsequious. This has nothing (or very little at least) to do with questions.
