Great questions. Thanks! I shall try for some answers.
We will be launching the intro site this week with the necessary info.
There will be a schedule released prior to the event, online, and there will be printed schedules and posted schedules at the event. We include a program with the badges and the wrist bands for the big kickoff party as well.
Meet the artists...yes...meet the industry too. You'll also be able to draw, paint, sketch, model, texture, animate or the like with them too. You will have four days to spend as much time with those you wish, and you will click with those who you never expected to. There are always moments at these events that make all of us wonder how we could have gone so long without finding the person whom we connected with on such a creative level. You will want your laptop/wacom, tablet and digital paint brush, sketchbook/pencils, note pads, portable media, even pen and ink or oil paint and french easel. Just be wary of tools which are difficult to take with you. At times people even bring cintiqs. While you won't have to create, nor find requirements to do so, you will certainly want to.
When Brom spoke at the workshop in Seattle he told me for three months that he would not demo in oil, that he was frustrated that he had been doing so much digital. As we provide oils, brushes, drawing and painting tools for the instructors "just because" I told him each time he said such things that was fine, but that he would probably change his mind, as most do. Even the writers that come end up creating. It is entirely inspiring. Brom was oil painting within 20 minutes, even after telling me that he didn't want to when he arrived just minutes before.I was so happy. These events are like my biggest possible battery recharge, and it is the same for those who have come to speak or participate in their own way.
Here is a link to that show: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u_iQVCij2Z4
The site will have a ton of info for you. It is going up shortly and there are years of content that shows what it is all about.
Stoked! Thank you all for the support and questions.
