What is the true value of a painting?, it is not it's price but the light it takes to create it

Haha, that last post
That monster is SICK btw. Are you going to polish it off? You might want to try zooming out the perspective just a tad. From the viewer's perspective, there only seems to be a foreground (closest rocks) and middleground (other rocks and monster). There is only a little bit of some distant background peaking through, but it's not enough. The view feels too claustrophobic right now. Also, if you zoom out a bit and apply some atmospheric perspective to this, it may give your monster the illusion of being even bigger.
Cool sketchbook! keep it up.
todays studies.. been slacking too much distractions damn.. tomro ONN IT

Awesome studies man! I'm officially on it to. Here's this morning's studies and what not. I'll upload last nights stuff and the rest of todays stuff later tonight.
Here's a rock study. I wanted to do a bit of rendering. Naj, I'm loving those enviro studies man!
Ok, a few more. I'm digging Naj's format. So I'll post them like that!
Hey guys havent postd in awhile... got some good news, though it probably falls on deaf ears as this sketchbook is pretty scarce of interaction lol. I got a job as a storyboard artist and illustrator in a small studio in our town, called purplemedia, though small the company is pretty cool and we deal with companies like Kia, Barclaycard, Virgin, Gucci among others, its not exactly games or movies, but its the perfect stepping stone and it has been a dream environment to work in, im currently working on a kia project doing pre production and post production work so i feel kinda importnat haha.. its amazing though my work gets passed to a colourist and then animators and audio engineers.. With crazy top end pcs and mac, working on intuos 4s and 5s.. the studio even has space invaders painted on walls!
anyway got a holiday break and gonna try and catch up with long lost painting practice.. Hope everyone has had a good xmas, and if i dont post another update soon, have a happy new year"!

Good stuff man! I'd love to see what you're working on! Try to update here and there.
loving the new updates, I was just thinking to myself, wow those are some nice quartz and then I see the other stuff and am like WAOW !
are these artworks for a client or are they your own ?
cos am wondering about how much time do these studies take if they were for your own and how you would have to manage your time with work time..?
