    Composition Critique

So this is a painting that I started and overall I like the concept, and the mood for it, but I feel that the composition is somewhat lacking. One problem that I have identified in my work lately is that I have a lack of content. I don't want this picture simply to be a some building sitting in the distance. So what I really want to ask is; are there any other elements that I could add, or re-arange the composition to make this picture more striking?

Coming up with ideas is the hardest part of painting; in my opinion. I put your picture in Photoshop and just started messing with it. I thought it might be cool if the viewer was coming out of some type of forest. I added a trail which to help show the scale of the building, and then just made the outline of the building a little more interesting to look at. I find that some of the coolest ideas can come from just messing with a picture with the intent to make it interesting to explore.

    Hope that helps a little.
