Hello!
My name is Elizabeth, I'm 17 years old, new to CA, and I learned how to draw on the wrong places on the Internet (i.e. my entire art base is anime-desu-kawaii). I'm trying to get away from that and learn how to draw realistically. Critiques are loved - I'm tough enough to suffer them (??? or am I?).

Before everyone else tells you to go study Loomis, go study Loomis: (EDIT GO BUY THE PRINT BOOKS)
Biggest problems I can really see are head shape and general proportions, but it's great that you're doing some realistic study stuff.

@Clu: You're probably not aware of that, but since the Loomis books are back in print and can be purchased, you shouldn't provide links to downloads in this forum anymore...

Having them in print should be worth the money though, instructions in a book are still much more practical than a pdf on a computer screen.

Ah really?! Okay erm well you should go buy them then. Print is so much better. (oopsss...I need to go get them then)

And nice colors on the Mango Pudding. Maybe you could post photos of your still life (even if YOU don't work from them) so it'll be easier to critique?

I really like your eye studies It might be a good idea to practice with more variety of values, you have dark darks and light lights but not a lot of mid-tones. And I like your digital still life.

Take my advice with a grain of salt though.
