Heres my story........I enjoy the arts and am always around creative people on a daily basis. Lately I have been getting more involved by learning about different mediums and learning about perspective, figure drawings, and photoshop. I found myself needing a better camera than my Iphone to take HIGH RES pictures of my work and to take reference pictures. Also will be getting into some photography as I learn more on bettering my composition/rule of 3rds/color skills.

This will be my first real camera purchase. (always used iphone or family's camera) I am clueless about cameras. However I do know what I need them for: Taking high res pictures of paintings, drawings, sketchbooks. Taking pictures for reference. Photography competitions. So please help me determine the best deal for its $$. Will rep those who help me out.

All I know is that there are always big bundle deals on t3i's t4i's with a pretty good photo printer for 500 - 700 (the t4's being the 700) often with a few lenses and a couple other extras. Seem like decent intro cameras at a great price. Check out slickdeals dot net. I have seen them pop up at least once a month for the last 4 months or so. I was toying with the idea of grabbing one myself. Also if you don't want the printer you can sell it and get back maybe a few hundred more, getting the t4i and two lenses for 550. Anyway good luck, hope that helps.
