Sorry for being a little un-active lately but the first project I was working on for final year at Uni came to a climax this week, thought I would share my work with you guys. The scheme was for a temporary theatre outside the exiting National Theatre in Southbank London. They are partially rendered, drawn over in Illustrator and then painted in Photoshop. Would love to hear your thoughts!

Not bad Spud. I like the characters. The outlines on everything are getting a little annoying though. It would be cool to see you combine the architecture stuff with the characters and make a full painting out of it.
Cheers!
Thanks guys, and especially for the critique noted about the outline, definitely habit I have picked up but not appropriate in all cases
some soldiers in gasmasks, a few hand studies and some random bits and bobs.

Love the way you block in those colors. It's very effective and give the painting a unique feel. The pig is my favorite.
Your hatching is lovely, too.
Unless you already know about the weekly community activities, I suggest you check out environment of the week.
I think that would be a great source of inspiration to you and practice.
Those drawings in your last post look really cool. And your use of colors is so expressive! Sorry, I can't give you any critiquesI'll definitely keep an eye on this sketchbook in future.
Are those three military dudes drawn from reference or imagination?
@ Jizu Thanks man!
@Christoffer Thanks, and will definitely check those out when I have some spare time!
@LeaderOfZombies Thanks, and yeh the soldiers are all from reference, I suck at gas masks so decided to practice

This notorious gang leader has recently broken out of the maximum security jail on Mars.
He is extremely dangerous, his nickname earned after he beat a large Luxor Beehometh to death with just his fists.
Distinctive scarring on face rumoured to caused by a Uronium mine explosion that leave a bright pink glow.
Reports indicate he may of also recently had an augmented eye installed to replace the one he lost.

Wow. Really digging your designs man. Such a unique style in your work and sketches. The desings on post 18 are suberb. The figure drawing from life is the only thing I can see that needs more work. I would recommend trying to give them more structure. This sketchbook was a great find, I will be back : )
