Well, considering its supposed to be angry and an explosion, it looks really, well, not very dramatic. You could of done a lot more with the pose, the anger, the expression and then an actual explosion like feel, rather than a blob of colour.

    Some ideas:

    - Shouldn't the chains be breaking if it's an explosion?
    - Add wrinkles to the face (due to expression), google angry expressions. The eyes aren't communicating anger.
    - The flower and the butterfly are interesting concepts but they are killing your color scheme. Desaturate them a bit, get them closer to the color of the claws
    - Things go up and all over the place in a explosion, this seems a little too controled

    Keep posting!

Well its not working, it looks flat, no emotion, you may of spent a while scrunching that face but the body and hands can portray a LOT of emotion.

You need to add movement and energy. Focus on what's important. The explosion is the main focus of the image, so give that the most attention. Let the color bleed in some areas. I did a rough paint over to show some of the things you can adjust to help translate the sense of a violent explosion to the viewer.
