Very nice approach with the composition studies. Going down to the root of it all makes one's mind ponder.
Like your drawings on the previous page too. Curious to see where this thing is heading.
thanks Sleep.less
I'm curious too ; )
Today more tests.
Your still lifes are amazing!
glad you think so, TristanFletcher!
Though I feel like I have no idea what am I doing so far. Rendering things, is a weird magic.
now in color
Your rendering is coming up nicely. Only thing you need to do is finish them. They look like they're missing one last polishing step, for my tastes at least.
Nice studies man that golen picture is quite cool, keep posting!
be the change you want to see! help me improve by leaving a comment and Ill help you.

I love the way you study composition, very inspiring. I might try to try that out too.
In regards to rendering, you should focus on the basic forms of what you are drawing. Use hard-full opacity brushes to clearly delineate the planes before you start blending. Once you feel like the overall form is correct, then lower the opacity and blend.
Or check out this tutorial on blending in the digital medium: {http://www.ctrlpaint.com/brush-technique-blending/}
It was very helpful for me.
It's so true Sleep.less!
I got problems with finishing stuff, but I ain't moving on until I figure this out!
Hi GrayPersona, glad you like it.
Thanks Racquel! I'm trying to learn this.
ughh I don't know how many times I've painted over this and it's still not right.
Next time I think I'll try with photos. Will be easier to see what am I doing wrong.
drawing from a photo reference
aka
easy mode activated
will finish this next time
'easy mode activated' haha
I do my figure drawings from photo references because my country has never heard of life drawing studios/courses lol. You can make the most of a photo reference by thinking about the forms in 3d space. It's a tough mental exercise.
Good stuff here, try working more on form.
Thank you again Sleep.less! I really did forgot about the form but I think it's better now.
I've spent some huge hours on this one.
attempts at drawing light from imagination
I LOVE how you are hitting your art from all angles. Very cool.
