    Dinhosaur's Sketchbook

Hey guys, I'm new to Conceptart.org. Anyways I just wanted to share my work that I start 1-2 months ago. Though not all of them will be shown here because they were mostly practices.

Dates are shown in D/M/Y and are ordered in Oldest to Newest.

First time practicing on how secondary light sources work. Though I didn't want to spend too much time because I should be studying for my exams hehe!

Just wanted to test myself how well I can render hands. Not very well from what I see, but it's my first time painting them in different views so a 2nd or 3rd try will look better haha.

Yep, they are huge totems! And my name is Dinhosaur because my surname is 'Dinh' . Actually I'm planning to create some Dinosaurs, but maybe in mechanical form haha, though possibly studying real dinosaurs to study the anatomy. Thanks for looking at my work, I will do my best to show more of my work!

Hehe thank you very much, and yes I'm slowly learning to clean my edges to make them look less muddy. It's great to see that you've noticed!

First time using my custom brushes to assist in my landscape paintings. It really helped a lot to achieve what I wanted, so I'm hoping to experiment further in the future.

Really enjoyed painting this one, though during the time when I was brush stroking the hair, the layer combined with body layer which made me very frustrated, but it did consider me to work both of them in one layers so that's the positive side!

Decided to create a digital concept art of a Steampunk character. Really had fun with this because the line work demonstrates the details I want than what I could possibly achieve by digitally painting, also not having to put too much detail in the colouring, instead let the lines do the work.

Digitally painting from your imagination is hard. I was only focusing on the face structure, there is a lot of things I need to improve hehe.

you got ur value ranges and blending down pretty good.I'd suggest you concentrate on proportions, anatomy and facial structure.

Yes! I have been doing my research on both male and female anatomy recently, and I've learnt so much just by looking at some images, though I should buy books that focuses on the fundamentals! Next time my body will be ready...

First time using textures with colour. I think I did a good job, but I still need to work on values and details on the subject matter.

Something I did for my cousin, though it suits to my personal taste than hers haha. Concept style digital painting, though I still need to improve on my values and metal fundamentals.
