anywhere in the UK would be great considering the fact that it'd make it easy for many Europeans to get there. I know it'd make it much easier for me to make it!
London is a great city and all, but accommodation there etc. can get pretty expensive.
As for non-London locations, the first names that pop into my mind are Brighton and Manchester. Scotland would also be awesome to visit -> Edinburgh and Glasgow.
UK, please please please!![]()
please come to new zealand ive always wanted to do this, because this is what I want to be when I grow up, please come to my country NEW ZEALAND (once again). Great stuff Isee here
London -
Positives: Ease of arrival/travel, museums, game and film development hotbed, and it's effing London!
Negatives- Costs might be higher than other UK cities.
Brighton-
Positives?
Negatives -
Cardiff-

Manchester-

Everything outside of London is just a negative In my opinion. Granted the costs might be a little lower, but not by much tbh. Accommodation is not that expensive especially with affordable hotels such as travel lodge and other affordable hotels. I just think getting to Manchester or Brighton is just inconvenient when you have one of the best cities in the world in London. Why would you go anywhere else?. These other cities don't have anywhere near what central london has to provide in terms of museums, art gallery's, restaurants, bars, shopping and just sight seeing locations. Central London is where it is at.
pfffft overrated? sort it out son. london would be awesome. Sao Paolo would be crazy.
Inconvenient for Londoners.
Actually it's not even that. It's two hours to Manchester on the train, probably half that to Brighton. London's a great city, like I said earlier. I'm impressed other cities apart from London are even being considered, because our capital soaks up everything around it. In the end I probably think it's likely it will be London. I don't have an issue with that, but the rest of the UK starts at Watford, not ends.

It all depends on how you want it to feel to be honest, there are benefits and draw backs to all the mentioned cities in the UK.
You know what your going to get in London, it sure is the 'go to' city for an event like this and is the obvious choice.
But other cities like Manchester, Liverpool, Cardiff, Brighton etc are all very easy to get too from airports and public transport. Cost of hotels as people have mentioned shouldn't really come into it as there are cheap and expensive hotels in every city.
These other cities sure do have benefits though such as being coastal towns, great art galleries, access to local attractions or nature parks etc.
I have no objection with it being held in London, it would be ace, but I feel that it could really be special if it was hosted in a less obvious choice.
To hell with circumstances; I create opportunities.

I would have to say that either London or Manchester would be absolutely awesome! From experience Cardiff can be bit of a slog to get to if you're travelling by train and Brighton is just as expensive as London from what I've heard, but the weather would be nicer.
Oh, does anyone know the dates yet?

I'm pretty near Brighton, and I have to say, it's easier to get to London than Brighton (because of the way the trains run). Of course, it's easy to get from London to Brighton -- or anywhere else -- too. London looks like a big ol' ganglion on the transportation map.
I was once on the receiving end of a critique so savagely nasty, I marched straight out of class to the office and changed my major (sketchbook).
Where is the Austin love? =(

For the UK cities my vote would have to be with Manchester. I've been there quite a few times now and all of the main attractions, such as the museums, art galleries etc are all in the centre and most are all within walking distance, although I've never ventured from the centre to galleries outside of it. The weather might be bad, but come on... it's the UK. The weather will be bad anywhere you go really. The city has a really nice atmosphere as well, and I don't really travel a lot and I found it really easy to navigate without maps or anything like that.
Also, it'd be nice to see other places in the UK acknowledged, London is the centre of everything and it seems the rest doesn't exist sometimes. Yes, it's a great city and has a lot there but from somebody from the outside of that, it can be extremely daunting and scary to travel around.
São Paulo! It's the closest to me (and the only I could afford)
It sure looks like the UK is going to win! Venue negotiations continue there. NYC has hours to get enough votes to overtake the UK and change the course of the ship! The sails are set!
Either way, I am going to go see some Waterhouse paintings.![]()
In the morning, negotiations continue with the venues. It is only a matter of time til we have the dates and location nailed. More to come!

If you go UK I would say either Birmingham or London, if you do one I'll try my hardest to get to London but I'll most certainly be attending Birmingham!
Yeess! Finally happening :'D
I would suggest either Manchester or London. London is only 2 hours from Manchester via train, but if you do choose the UK I'm sure I'll be attending no matter where you end up.

I have nothing very worthwhile to contribute to this other than an OMG YAY IT'S COMING TO ENGLAND!
That being said, I think London is the best bet. Currently I live in the North and I can say that it would definitely be cheaper in say Manchester or any outlying cities but you miss the wow factor of being in London. If people are flying in from around the world, London is an amazing place to go and I think the best bang for the buck.
YES! LONDON! Also consider Germany to be a contestant at some point , we haven't gotten any loving yet.
But I'll keep hopingWill definitely try to go to London.
look forward to this

I don't know much about London and Manchester themselves, but my impression is that for everyone coming overseas, from Europe and the rest of the world, going straight into London will be much easier as it has far more connections to other airports than Manchester does.
I think this has to be looked at not just from the point of view of which is the better city, but from the context of getting people there too.
and, I CANT WAIT TO COME!!!
I'm already getting Fired UP!!
New zealand definately needs a art department here![]()
