Would appreciate CC so that I could improve on my images.

    Welcome aboard Spanishrose!

Good studies! If you are studying from photos you should definitely try and convert the photos to greyscale after you are done with your study, sort of to check how it went. Some of your studies seem very bright. As for the can and balls (apples?) study, there seems to be a lighting inconsistency, the ball that is in front of the can should be shaded by the shadow cast by the can. Hope this makes sense, otherwise let me know and i'll do a quick paintover

Alright here goes, value studies and a single photo study using the RGB sliders for colour selection for this one was AMAZINGLY helpful! Can really recommend that for anyone having trouble with colours going dull on their studies!

    Dayum lakai your studies!!
nice studies raymond ! hopefully you can continue after your studies!

Welcome spanishrose ! great job! like alex andre mentioned You could try grayscaling the images to check your values one way to see values is to squint your eyes and it will simplify the values that you see of the object

Mine this week :| simple ones though.

Lakai: awesome reflections, love the chess pieces

Sha: love the studies, snap about the planes head was gonna do one but ran out of time

Teresa: i think ur studies didnt focus on value but this is ok because u said u didnt know about it. I would reccomend scott robertsons dvds they are incredible they will help a lot. great effort though

    Unhappy

I did more in traditional medium, but it went all funky when I wanted to upload. I will repent myself with the next assignment. Also exams suck.

I really appreciate your comments on my value studies.

Lakai well done I also like the chess pieces. Feels like I can reach out and touch the items

Care thanks for your input. Question for you? What do you mean I wasn't focused on thh value studies? Please clarify. I will look into the dvds that you mentioned.

Nerferinn Great idea to put my images into grayscale and then compare. I certainly agree that my study is to light so I will work on darkening that. Will squint as well to see the grays.

Andre After your comment I went back to the can and looked at the reference I noticed the fruit should be darkened even more and to have consistancy. Yes please do a paint over that would be
    great.

well I will be working on more with values. I know that my values are crappy so I will concentrate on doing more and practicing.

Some of these studies make me want to cry. Lakai, that egg! *sobs*

I'm playing catch up. I'll post my stuff for next week. What I have done is on my sketchbook, which you can find in my signature, if anyone is interested in looking

    Alright here goes.

The balls: Think about them as the spheres they are, they will each cast a shadow onto the spheres below it.
Rest should be self explanatory. Ive attached two references too. See how they are much darker in the shadow? This, of course, depends on the material of the can.
Also I extended your table, so it doesnt look like half of the spheres are floating mid air

You should definitely try another study of simple forms (cylinders/cubes/spheres)

Andre: 60 secs is not a long time trying to get all the anatomy done is very hard. try using cylinders instead then building ontop. trad stuff is nice looking! Could have more flow to the gestures. more rhythm.

heres mine lemme count. 57 nice.

Nerferim, Izbrunz, Lakai. dimi, Care, AndreM You all have done a fantastic job with your gestures.

I still need to continue to practice and some of the proportions are wrong on mine. Only did a few.
