Have you used references? Did you do any planning out with thumbnails?
Formerly Ultimatum.

It looks messy, so its hard to really figure whats going on, the one thing that really bothers me is the skin colour, it just, isn't really well chosen. The highlights aren't very warm, or cold, which just feels a little bit like you've went, hm this is the lighter shade of the dark purple, lets do that.
I think looking at some people with black skin, and seeing the tones and colours will help you choose the better colours, then think about transparency, the eyes for example have very thin skin, so is usually more reds, blues and purples, I think figuring that out would help you. Also have you looked at Dota 2 characters, they're pretty good with characters and choice of colours, I think that would help you pinpoint what colours they should be, here are some purple characters and as you can see they have a lighter, still pinkier areas where the flesh would be taught, ie, around the tummy.

He has lots of veins and light and dark areas, I'm sure this would help.

I think these show that your colours aren't well chosen, the dark shades are way too purple/grey and then the light shades are just, beige, it would strengthen your piece if you chose a better pallet, I think.
Hey Artimatum! I used my mirror as a help for the position of the features. I didnt do thumbnails.
Hey self-epidemic! Thank you very much that you took the time to give me this long reply. I was actually suprised to notice that I really didnt have any diffrences refering to warm and cool tones by now. Uneccessary mistake because I should think about that by now! Thanks for pointing this out to me.
