I am speechless!
At first I was like "wow awesome portraits" but to be honest your environments are what really get me excited!
Would you be able to do a WIP of an environment? I love your mountain and textures thereof, maybe something not snow...the grass on the first page in the foreground was phenomenal- I love how lose it is yet defined at the same time.
Thanks man, next time I do a landscape I'll show a wip. There's not much to it really, just keeping it loose and still defining the form. I don't manage that all the time. If it goes siouth I just overpaint until it works better.

Here's something from my sketchbook again;

A bigger project (around 10 hours. Could have spent 10 more on it, especially the throne, but there you go):
Details:
I used references from Marcus Ranum's excellent stock on dA for the poses:

Your portrait work is insane!
Awesome sketchbook. Keep up the great work.
your work is wonderful, i especially like looking at your anatomy sketches. and you can render human skin really well, it is quite pretty
lionheart, thanks a lot mate. I hope I'll never stop. So far I'm doing well, not one day has passed without studying for a few weeks now. Hopefully I'll be able to keep up the pace.
tawnos, thank you! Prior to these studies, I mainly painted digitally and I had to get reaquainted with the pencil as a tool- it's doing me good, I can feel it =)
Syle, thanks a lot!
Denzel, thanks man. These latest anatomy sketches are done with Bridgeman's Constructive Anatomy. I like it very much. I'll jump back and forth to Vilppu and Bammes nevertheless. Always good to have different perspectives on the same subject.
Here we go, one relatively rough painting (thumbnail can be found further up the page):

Oh yeah, nearly forgot, here's a glimpse of my workspace, just to get some other things beside artwork in here:

ohhhh my goodness I've fallen in love with your work!
as I was reading through, I kept going from "oh love these portraits!" to "amazing values!" to "holy crap great enviros" to "awesome use of colours!"
To be at least a tiny bit constructive, I guess it would be nice to see some challenging foreshortening on your figures or a funky perspective piece of some kind?!
Anyway fantastic work!!![]()
