    GOOD SHEPHERD

Here is my pencil drawing of Jesus Christ touched up with B&W digital painting. Finished with the first picture. There might be two more pictures that go with it - resulting in a 3 pictures in 1 piece. Don't know if I will paint it or leave it B&W. At my blogspot I talk about my inspiration (politics and religion) and art.

Working on the other pictures that will go with this one. Doing the grass now... blade by blade. Tedious! Also can be seen at the site. What do you think? Really!

    PEACE

That's really good! If I may ask, why are you doing the grass blade by blade? Why not clump general patches together?

Something alluring about losing yourself in the details - blade by blade, strand by strand, pore by pore, thread by thread. The artist that did the "Photo Study of Native American" likely feels me on this subject. You can do that when you are doing it for fun. If doing the art for pay, you would end up making less than minimum wage with that approach. Don't know why I like it. Something very unappealing about making hair, grass, leaves, etc. by brush stroke effect. Seems like a less intimate process. Though I do understand the necessity considering the time factor.

You like the facial expression? What do you see in it? I tossed around some ideas before coming up with the finished one.
