so i got my first goal with gestures! 100 gestures! 30 sec. each i plan on doing the next 50 or 100 in 1 min each! the other one is a banana peel (if you could call THAT thing a banana peel haha!) my sister said it doesnt have the little black dots bananas have, i guess my next picture will have them....
im just starting out so im just trying to guide myself (kinda! that is) if someone has begginer excercises i will gratefully enjoy what they have to say

Great work on the gestures! The two paintings could need more contrast but otherwise they are good as well. Keep posting!
Please take a look at my Sketchbook! <- Comments are highly appreciated and returned C:

Heyriel-thank you so much fo the comment! i think the saturation tthing its because of the white canvas silly me maybe i should go for grey? i dont know...

OK! so ive been studying bones! but just a tiny part i also made a light study, i can notice the problem about the edges... its really difficult but its fun!
well.. then i have the 1min gestures, I think they are pretty bad (im reading hampton and vilppu books right now, i think the books are both really good)

I guess ill just have to practice more! (even if im slow at it ("-_-)...

You’re definitely working hard. I completely understand about being afraid of using colour. Although I’m still struggling with colour I found doing basic exercises like spheres and cubes can help with getting to grips with shadows and blending etc. good luck!

I think I´ll start with the torso, and then go to the complex areas.

siiilon- That means a lot to me! thank you! I´m just a little afraid because they usually recommend hard brushes for studies... but I feel more like sculpting when using soft brushes.. don´t know why

Today I couldn´t do much because I´m struggling with color.. It seems Impossible for me to grasp it well and I´m getting frustrated! so.. If someone has any excercise they recommend or any advice.. It will be greatly, but greatly! appreciated. here is my second attempt at color

Really nice studies, Keep it up. As for your fear of color one thing that really helps is to identity the color temperature of you light source is it warm or cool? If its warm (Reds/yellows/oranges) the shadow colors will be almost always be a cooler (Blue/purple) and vica versa, even if you don't notice it in your photo reference. If you keep that idea in mind it'll be a lot easier to retain depth and realism with color. To make it easy you can just take a swatch of your light hue, and tick it to a cooler value with the color sliders in PS. Nice job so far! I'd say that practice is starting to pay off!
