ROUND #278 - Bull, Ring-tailed Shortsnout
topic:
ROUND#277: Bull, Ring-tailed Shortsnout
It's been a while since I prompted COW with a composite of random adjectives and categorizations for creatures, so here's a new one: the bull, ring-tailed shortsnout. When I say bull, I mean to say that it is an adult male which is larger and heavier in build than the equivalent female of the species, other than that it's up for interpretation. Ring-tailed can refer to patterning, armor, bone structure or really any way you can fit rings into the design of the tail. What I will request is that the rings be a feature that is exclusive to the creature's tail. Shortsnout strikes me as a categorization given to a creature that is part of a larger genus (with longer snouts, likely). Think about the genus as a whole, rather than just the creature you're designing, why it might have developed a shorter snout than other, similar species. It's free reign, other than that. I'm not a stickler for predator or grazer, aquatic, land, aerial or spaceborne, that's all on you.
Round Requirements:
- The creature must be the male of it's species (the choice to represent the females is up to the artist, but the male should be the focus)
- The creature should have rings as a design element, unique to the creature's tail, in some way
- The creature must have a short snout, or be represented as a member of a larger genus of animal with a relatively shorter snout than it's counterparts
Deadline:
November 6th, 7:00pm PST (GMT -8 )
