the mushrooms and tree fungus are given a thick coat of commercial gloss clear
the bark and wood are coated with commercial satin clear finish
the satin finish is thinned down with water to give a thin coat
this is important to avoid having the clear satin or matt coats turn milky when fired
thinned clear gloss finish is less glossy and can be used to diminish shine
thin only a little at a time as you use it
if you mix ahead of time it will settle out and be hard to mix up again
