You could use more details in the shapes and more reflected light to give the stalactites and stalagmites more form right now they're all very flat.

So far I like the feeling and mood that I'm getting from it, but I'm wondering what is it supposed to convey? Right now it's looking like generic rock cave, and the composition is almost too circular for so little going on. I really like the way you've handled the light though. Maybe even darken the abyss just a tiny bit more to make the light on the ledge pop?

To add--maybe create (or intensify) a hurricane-like swirling structure to the mist below (I’ve got Hurricane Sandy on the brain). Maybe have some vague entity appearing to emerge from the mist vortex????

i'm anything but an expert, but i'd suggest some nifty color and atmospheric perspective to make the depth feel work. e.g. the spikes in the background might need some slight blurring and the mist would do better with shades and hues. here, an example that could be helpful.

    rock on.

Except for what already been said, i suggest that you work the textures more, dont leave them there after you have applied them, start painting on them and try to make them feel like they really belong in the picture.
