    What to focus at?

Well, I'm actually trying to practice everyday, doing sketches, and mostly working on the human figure. The thing is that in the future I pretend to be a concept artist, or something related to design on video-games/movies, I mean, in entertainment. And also another thing that I like too is storyboarding.
I know, there are some basics that we all have to go trough if we want to develop our skills in art, but the thing we focus on it depends on what we want to achieve later.
So, for me that I want mostly work on the things that I said before, I should focus on anatomy? And then in other kind of things, or how's the path that you follow when you study.

I know that maybe a lot of people ask this, but I felt that I had to make my own topic if I want some kind-of specific commentaries.
And I'm mainly making this cause I want to have a clear path to follow through when I'm going to make studies and sketches.

Thanks for reading and any comment related to the topic I will apreciate it!

(Sorry for my bad english )

Learn to render simple object first. Cube Sphere, cone, box, cylinder, Pyramid. Once you can draw those perfectly with no mistakes then you can tackle more organic things like regular objects.

All of those things you mention wanting to achieve later rely on your ability to draw. So that is what you should be focusing on. Anatomy has nothing to do with learning to draw. As dpaint suggests start with the five or so basic forms and learn to draw them in any perspective...then try to see them in the world around you.

Thanks to both of you, I have read those advices some time ago, but when you look how to begin and such, you can also lose the focus on the really basics things. Awesome mates, I'll work hard on that (now that I have more time) until I feel more confident on shapes and stuff

I'll post up a few examples of what we're talking about in a bit...need to process them first...

The famous artist course has a very good lesson on this.
They teach you to break every object, regardless of its complexity down into one of the primitives: cube, sphere, cone, cylinder, or a combination of them.

Really thanks about this! I'm actually this week gonna work in a goal of drawing (at least) 100 cubes, 100 spheres and 100 cylinders and then will working with that and some anatomy. Do you think that's a nice goal to start with?
    Thanks to everyone helping here!
