    Concept art gathered into books?

Hey guys, I was wondering if there were any picture books out there filled with concept art designs. I don't know if this is an odd question or not, but I just love looking at concept art!

Anyways if you know any good titles, let me know! : )

One last thing. I'm not into anime or any of that Japanese stuff.

Am Amazon search for "concept art" gives 37,667 Results. That would be a place to start.

Look for movie concept art books i.e. the art of star wars, the art of captain america, the art of the avengers...the art of star wars has several concept books for all six movies. They're full of concept drawings and paintings. Hope that helps.

Hey there. I suggest to start from http://www.amazon.co.uk/Skillful-Hun...1554996&sr=8-1 The Skillful Huntsman, it shows work process from start to finish. The "Art of..." books are great, especially PIXAR's, but they tend to contain more polished concept art. Also this one is my favourite recently: http://www.amazon.co.uk/The-Art-Alic...I3JX5I5QGL2U1U

Try Spectrum: the best in contemporary fantastic art. They come out every year in volumes and contain a large amount of concept art and original artworks. I have issue 17 and 18 and every page is GORGEOUS

I would try Ballistic publishing, oh hang on ..... follow this link

    http://www.ballisticpublishing.com/b...e/concept_art/

It is quite expensive as books go but it has loads of top-notch information and insights from stars like Andrew Jones, George Hull, Nicholas Bouvier (sparth) and Viktor Antonov and you cant go much better than that.

If you are just looking for books full of pretty pictures to inspire your creative juices then go here :-

    http://titanbooks.com/categories/art/

I bought Sparths Structura 1 and 2 from here and love them to death, full of ideas and concepts.

That would be my two pennies worth to this conversation, but as the mighty "Tristan E" said further up there in the thread, there are loads around target Google at the net and get to work!

I hope this helps, all the best
