    Help with Gnomon Portfolio

    Hey, guys!

I'm trying to enter in the 2-year-long Gnomon program and I need a little help here.

I've been looking through the entire 'Accepted Portfolios' thread in this forum for some reference, but there are no Gnomon portfolios there :(

So anyone that has been accepted (or knows how things work there) can tell if I'm going in the right direction? Is this more or less the level they are looking for? If I'm not there, can you give me some tips?

I've tried to follow Gnomon portfolio especifications, including a lot of Entertainment pieces such as vehicles, characters and environments. I've also included a life-reference anatomy study and another 'more traditional' piece.

Can't wait to hear your C&C ;) Thank you so much in advance :)

I've seen some accepted Gnomon portfolios. And your colored pieces look so much better than the ones I've seen in other portfolios. I suggest you work more on your anatomy by the looks of those hands. Other than that I think you got it. Like I said work on your anatomy a little more and you will be accepted there in no time.

Thank you so much! This has been really useful

I'll be practicing a bit more my anatomy skills, thank you for the advice.

Only one quick question: have all these portfolios been accepted?

Yes, I would say that a majority of those portfolios were accepted. I did see them saying that they were accepted. And you are welcome! I am also working on my art so I can get accepted at Gnomon. And by the looks of your portfolio and a lot of these I can see I got a long way to go : (
    Good luck!

Hahaha, don't be scared. Yes, I sent them a portfolio in both occasions, but the first one was full of the wrong material (for example, I included a lot of photography) because on those times they didn't have especific portfolio guidelines on their website (or at least I didn't see them).
The second time I applied they told me I was really close to the level required for getting in the 3-year-long program but, as I'm not american, I need to enter the 2-year-long program (it's the only one where you can get a visa) and, as you may know, the portfolio requirements for this program are quite higher.

You have some more info on the matter here: http://www.gnomonschool.com/programs/compare

Oh Ok well that explains it. I hope I get in in my first or second try. I am too old, can't be wasting time around lol.

    Hi!

I really love your pieces! You've got really cool designs and drawings.

Are you trying to enter the 2 or the 3 year program? I'm trying o enter the 3 year program right now (in fact I've got my interview today, I'm so nervous )

    Hey, guys!

I've finally been admitted! Although it was in the 3 year program. I have already posted my final portfolio in the 'Accepted portfolios' thread
