Started attending a class where I basically get access to a nude model once a week for 2.5 hours, with some light help/crits from an attending artist. This is the first time ive done this (drawn from a live model) and I am not a professional, have had no formal art training beforehand, just basically learned what I can on my own since I enjoy it as a hobby and want to get better at it.
Any and all crits and tips on how to approach drawing with a model to get the most out of my class is greatly appreciated![]()

Tried holding pen a bit differently while sketching after feedback in the crit centre, not sure if there's any actual improvement yet using that method or if this is a case of taking a step backwards before going forward again. Ok, clothed and unclothed, mostly 10 minute poses.
Sketchbook:
. Try doing shorter gestures(not sure if you are doing em) and I was wondering if you have read through The Vilppu Drawing Manual? I found it to be extremely useful when it came to construction in a human figure as well as in gesture drawing.
