Out hunting.
Update:
I know this is not exactly the thread for this, but bear with me.
I found this, which is hilarious. It's my first digital painting ever. I did it 5 years ago. It was for DSG 1235: Sci-Fantasy: LEGLESS MECH TRAVERSES DENSE UNDERSIDE OF ROOT CANOPY W/ HANDS
Continued with the sketch from earlier, because I liked it.
I know it's not the best ever, but it's kind of insane how much difference 5 years makes.
p.s. I forgot to include me, so assume I'm a Tribble-esque figure that hides under trees. I don't even like Star Trek.

Thanks NickyBeats
When was the last time someone thanked me by name (sort of) and not with the 'thanks' button?
I used to critique those who did, sort of like this:
I think you need to knock back some of the detail of the photo by painting over it, it's competing for attention with the subject of the illustration - the beast.
The creature emerging from the darkness reminds me of Carvaggio's work, and I think it has potential to have even more impact if you add more hot spots, and show us more of the arcing electricity.
Hey guys, I'm new to to forums, and new to concept art, and mostly art in general, I have taken a few classes in high school, but I havent drawn in forever, and finally found my Tiny Wacom bamboo and decided I wanted to learn art, so I'm practicing and drawing every chance I get. Got directed here from CtrlPaint and thought it was awesome. I know this is a day or 2 late, but this topic intrigued me more. So please give me criticism, lots of it! I feel I am weak in all areas, quite a bit, I'll make another dump thread in the morning for more crucial critique. But here's my entry for now.
