    JK's Sketchbook(!?)

    Hello hello!

My name is Jackie and I am (very) new to CA. I'm 24 years-old, and while I've been drawing my whole life I've only recently begun taking my art seriously. Looking around CA these last few days has been really inspirational (if intimidating!!!), and I'm super excited to join the community!

I'm starting this sketchbook a) to motivate myself to get off my behind and b) to get as much critical feedback as possible. I'm especially interested in increasing the energy and movement in my work, since I think it tends to come off a little flat...

Please let me know what you think!

Haven't had a lot of time for art over the last few days, but here's a study of a big fake flower I did with watercolor and colored pencils. Both of these are relatively new mediums for me but I am learning.

PS: if anyone who reads this has any extensive experience with either and has some good resources/tutorials to suggest, I'm all ears

Another guache attempt? This is my first time painting from a model (I usually use charcoal, pencil or ink...)
