The next chapter of my life begins. Here we go!
Moving into a concept design portfolio
Kobolds!
Chapter TEN
In which the OP presents some amazing doodles of Romans and kobolds,
as well as several charming animation sheets.
Really nice stuff! Keep posting, mushroom man!![]()
Thanks kabewu, I asume mushroom man is in regards to my last name meaning mushroom no?
Giants. Didn't have time do much with them.

Congrats on graduating!
I love the environment sketches, they feel really inspired (at least to me), and the lineweights really help sell the distance and details. I especially like how you built the first town into the spire, feels right at home in some fantasy game.
Thanks for sharing!

Cool stuff you've got here so far. Nice linework, clean but loose. The Kobolds aren't looking to bad either. I'd like to see them go toe to toe with the giants in an upcoming drawing.![]()
thanks twilightmoon777
nice start! the environment stuff looks good! hope you keep posting!
Thanks Kevin,
Before college I started a tattoo apprenticeship. I had to end it when I got accepted to The Art Institute of Boston. Now, after graduating, I am looking for work as an animator. With no luck thus far I have picked back up my machines and started to practice with them. Hopefully to finish my apprenticeship in the near future. Here is my first practice piece, a skull on fake skin;
Shit man, I go to the AI in Minneapolis MN and I graduate summer 2013. Congratulation on graduating! your animations are incredibly solid (checked your demo reel!)
I'm seeing a lack of fundamental drawing principles in your still work though...If I were you, I'd begin by hitting the basics pretty hard to begin building up your mental library.
This can be done by:
-taking life drawing courses or simply drawing from life
-picking up an anatomy book of choice (gottfried, loomis, or vanderpoel are good options)and gaining a better understanding of form and proportion
- And finally hitting up some still lifes to round out your digital rendering abilities. Also some landscape photo studies since it would seem you enjoy those quite a bit!
here's hoping you can find an occupation soon and that I didn't overwhelm you haha-- keep working hard!
