    Commando Sketchbook - Doodles, Studies and poop

    Haven't posted in waaay too long... Went through the storm of "poop happens" happens. Anyhow, it's starting to calm down a little so here's to a new sketchbook adventure and hopefully there's no more tension here. Some old and some more recent stuff, most of these are speed paints of roughly 2-4 hours.

    Let me drop a couple of references i think you might like:

    Dave rapozza - Crimson daggers (especially his TMNT portraits)
    Alex Pascenko

    I really like your style. Especially the Pencil drawings you uploaded last. About the digital stuff, have you tryed exploring more textures/brushes? I feel some of them are a little too smooth, but maybe that's because they're speed paintings..

    Cool stuff, be sure to check the 2 dudes I sent you !

    @Dave'swarmInside: Bro, they're like my idols lol (not IDOLS, but I look up to them along side many others haha). Yeah I see what you man, I've tried playing/adding chalk brushes (or other textured brushes i cant read from other artist). But I tend to fail a lot with incorporating it properly. The smooth look (or "clean" look) is something I really wanna change. Will play up the advice more! Thanks!

    @Kevin_: Thanks!

    Quick stuff for fun

    My brain decided that sleeping is stupid and waking up at 6am is unnecessary, making me wish I can kick it. Quick poop before I force myself to bed.

    You having 2 sketchbooks really confused me for a bit x). Good update, still loving your sketches. great paintings too. I'm planning on going to attend life drawing weekly from now on, one small session had a bigger impact on my drawing than I would have thought.

    @Tofa: Yeah, I was afraid that if i reposted again it would do that delay thing like last time i revived it late... but i guess it didn't :C... oh well. Totally do the live model weekly (if you can) + drawing everything you see from life everyday is important imo. Then apply what you learned from the sessions into your drawings (like repeating a certain pose for a character).

    Sketchpoop + continued wip for friend + character poops

    CRITS ARE WELCOME

    Ahhh, the pencil sketches are awesome. You have some good, dynamic poses.

    I really like the astronaut and zombies on this page. By any chance, are the zombies inspired by the Walking Dead? I've been digging the comics, the show, and even the game lately.

    Don't be so hard on yourself. You're far from poop. I'm poop compared to you.

    @KONM: Nah, it's just random doodles to get my mind off of stuff. But I've seen the show, but haven't read the comics. I like the show so far tho

    @Kungfoowiz: Thanks!

    @Ozark: It's hard not to be hard to myself :C... But the word poop amuses me in general.

    @Niam: Thanks!

    Small oopdates. These 2 are inside jokes (I know), but I wanna share them anyways.

    1-2 hour studies, last 2 are for something i'm working on atm :B

    Cool to see another Canadian on here, and a young one as well (judging by your self portrait). Some really nice stuff you've got here! Loving your studies and pencils. I think you could benefit from putting in a few more hours into things to polish them a bit more and bring them to the next level as it currently feels like you are abandoning some pieces a bit too early.

    Anyways keep it up!

    @Andrew Sonea: I'm not exactly young, I'm a 21 year old who looks 12 :C... Will keep the advice in mind, I tend to get either impatient or at a loss to how to continue properly (thus leaving things as is). Going to work on that as much as I can! Thanks!

    Studeez + Doodle + applied study onto doodle, might finish it up later tomorrow
