    Please, Critique

Anyway, I havent drawn anything digital for a while and I figured I would try my hand at it again. After doing so, I felt that I really am not getting any better or learning anything new. So with that in mind, I decided that it could use some critique. So if you have spent the last few seconds reading this message, then why the heck don't you spend a few seconds more and tell me what you think. Seriously, what are you are reading the critique forums for anyway if you are just gonna look at newbies posts and not help out at all.

If you feel you are not improving, try colour! It is a whole new ball game and it should be a bit easier if you know your values well.

Also remember, do loads and loads of thumbs. Use huge brushes and dont worry too much about making anything specific. Just make huge random shapes any way you can (lasoo is good, wierd custom brushes, big hard round brush, whatevs, and make loads of them. Go nuts. Do 10 as fast as you can and if 8 suck, but 2 are kind of interesting, chalk it up as a win. If not, do some more. Its hard to loosen up and do these, beleive me I know.

Thank you for your humble attitude, being snarked at always enourages people to help you.

The staging is pretty boring, you have very little going on on the foreground and the midground is basically symmetric. Also I don't know if you're trying to paint a sandstorm, but the somewhat limited values, lack of shadows and fuzzy brush make it look so, yet the placement of the brush strokes doesn't convey very believable wind look.
It's pretty hard to get a grasp of the scale (and form too) of the building, because there's nothing (like a human, car, etc) to compare it to.
    And like already mentioned, thumbnails.

Sorry for snarking. It was meant to be humorous, maybe I need to start using smilies and lols at the ends of my posts

Thanks for the advise though. The part about scale was helpful, I really need to do that more in my scenes.

Personally, I feel that the composition is lacking. The focal point (the castle) is too centered, and the lack of a distinct light source isn't helping. That being said, you do have some nice depth cues.
