Hecules drawings, from imaginatioon. Must make some more research for the contrapposto! And shoulder/arm/leg antomy. I think im gonna make a very polished a2 drawing before i start painting. Almost like a cartoon. (:

I think this is the way to go. Shading is okayish. Might make it show some more of the minor muscles. As for the construction i am very satisfied. (:

Another arm. Its hard to put on the extensors.
Oh well. I learn alot. (:

Some more arms. Again. I wonder if i will ever understand the arm fully... Its very complex.
Enjoy.

Torso from imagination, used a lil bit of reference for the shoulder girdle part. Ignore the penis. ^^
And a selfportrait. Construction style, using picture reference only for lines. All shading from imagination. Its very practical to look at yourself in the mirror and turn your head and stuff.
Enjoy.

see you have kept up with all the practices! great bunch of updates, keep it up!
hey thanks for stopping by my sketchbook again (Me know I am doing LOL) Latest portrait study look good. I like the way your thinking through everything that your doing. Facial planes, construction ect, and drawing anatomy from your imagination to test what you have learned I must start doing this to soon. Keep cranking it mr. Maybe even add an avatar to your profile.
Hi!
First of all, thanks for the encouragement dudes. Very appreciated. (:
Now, here is a torso. Didnt get the right oblique to fit in.
And my selfportrait, "finished". Alot more couldve been done. Next time!
I ordered my skeleton today. Its gonna be so so so so so helpful when i get it. Very excited I am! (:
Will post pics when i get it!

maybe push the values on the self portrait some more really try and describe what you are seeing under the skin the musculature and skeletal structure. Follow those lights and darks and the way the different planal shifts effect colors and value. This will be so vital when moving into colour.
Ja: You are completely right. The thing was that i didnt feel that i understood all that was going in (on) the head. Will start digging in to it for the next portrait. Thank you. (:
Here are a ribcage drawing from my skeleton. Will not work more on it. all those ribs going from the front to the back... Almost made me dizzy! Will take what i learned from this and use it in the next one. (:

Old portrait from way back when i wasnt obsessed with explaining (3d) form.
Skull drawing, very constructional, not so organic. Its a work in progress.

Up-up-up-update
Couple of quick drawings of some photos i had on my computer. Been working with how to start a figure drawing. Im starting to get a feel of how id like to do it.

So I have been watching alot of Vilppu lately and I really like him. He's probably my favorite artist (except for Michelangelo and the boys). I really, really like his work.
Im not super happy with everything he does but i want to follow his teaching real hardcore. In the end it's not a definite way to do things, its an approach. "There are no rules, only tools".
So I started out with chapter 1, the gesture. Check it out.
Sorry for the quality, only got my cellphone camera atm.

Can't upload the other stages right now. Will do it later.

Your approach to 3D construction is fantastic. I should learn to work more like you.
Leonor: Thank you very much. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask.

More of a selfportrait.
The exaggerated perspective is too much.
