Hey Pete! I like your pencil work and I think you’re up to a good start here! Those “monster species” are very cool and you should definitely do more of those!
I see you have started out doing body studies and that’s the right thing to do. Get a hang of the basics. There is a ton of info about it out there, ready to get explored.
I’ve just started doing studies from Loomis and Bridgman. I also think that Hampton has much to offer about the body gestures and anatomy, for what I have seen from other people’s studies.
So keep trucking and keep the creativity!

This SB's off to a great start, nice studies and good work sticking with it. My biggest suggestion right now would be to do some gestures - 30, 60, 90 seconds. (Unless you're doing them and not posting them, a pile of gestures can be a pain to scan...) Your muscle studies are looking nice, and they're important, but no substitute for learning to capture the flow of the whole figure in a way that longer figure studies often lose.

Hey, I see a lot of improvements already, the figure studies in particular are good and you have a good grasp on the forms and proportions. At the moment its just technical skill that's lacking, but you're sticking with it and posting regularly so that will come quicker in time Make sure you get plenty life drawing in. Keep posting!

Thanks, I do draw gestures, I just don't post them.
I have been drawing a bit too much from the books lately for my anatomy studies, I will try to do more life studies.

Dude! I am so jealous of your organic forms!! Great job with your light and shadows your handling of that is much better than mine.
Do a lot of work and your work will be as good as your ambitions.

    as for my hand,
if the issue are the knuckles, they are meant to be that way, my knuckles are permanently swollen from repetitive cracking.

The last characters are amazing. The details in the Armour are wild and how he is holding the sword it is really realistic. What can i say, just keep it up!

Some nice studies in here man. The creative stuff also has a lot of character, I particularly like the barbarian fellow further up the page (the one with the horned head gear + colour). Maybe you could try out this style with some of your creature concepts? Anyways, keep up the great work

    Hi PeteJ
the studies are really nice - especially the cars, the street view!
i really like the way you draw - but try more stuff like negative drawings or just one line - i know it's hard but you will learn a lot of these drawings.
a other thing i recongnize by your drawing get darker try to mix the range of your snail picture with that of chuck norris picture.
your creativity is really amazing and there is a huge improvement!! keep up the good work and thanks for uploading

    hi PeteJ
thats good! keep up the good work.
theres is not a right way to learn to draw - best thing that i advice is draw, draw, draw, tutorials, have fun! and copying the great masters.
perhaps this homepage is a little help http://www.ctrlpaint.com/

    i shouldn't advice because i'm a really bad artist

you are on the right track!

@Zauselbart Thanks man, very much appreciate it.

Right now, I'm going back to the basics and focusing more on building confidence in my linework.
And I found out how much I still suck with drawing a cube from life. I mean my god, it still takes me so much searching lines to draw the paired cubes from life. I find them even harder to do than drawing a cube from my head for some reason.
