Anyone know how to get scratches off the Intuos5?

My little one rubbed something on my tablet and put some scratches into it. Is there any way to get them out? They seem only surface.

I mentioned previously this will be an issue for intuos5 tablet users. The intuos5 touch has no overlay sheet. If you damage the surface you need to send it back to Wacom.

If this is the intuos 5 non touch there are supposed to be overlay sheets.

I suppose you could sand the surface lightly but well if you're using a touch and it damages the surface further...dunno what to tell you.

hmm.i wonder why there is no surface sheet. just another way to give the tablet a determined "lifetime" before you have to replace it and purchase another one.

touch surfaces work with several sheets over them. If they say it wont work with a surface sheet its no excuse.

maybe a third party will step up and make some.

Somewhere recently I saw a post here where they're scratched theirs with wire wool trying to clean it. Then they used a plastic sheet (I think) and someone else just taped a sheet of paper over it. Worth a try and it won't cost the earth.

http://velikan.tumblr.com/ for the latest up-to-the-minute stuff, and process nonsense
And finally, http://www.here-there-be-monsters.net/ is the place to be if you want to buy some of my work that has been kitted by the talented hand of Dave.
