    Tucker Cullinan - Website/Portfolio Review

    Hello,

    I've recently been trying to break into the videogame industry on the lines of such jobs as Concept Artist or Environment Design and I'm having some difficulty in these areas. I was wondering if I could get some input along with some advice perhaps from other artist already working in these positions or simply know the industry well.

    Right off the bat, I work more within the fine art realm of things which puts me in a closing niche. That and the fact that I'm not really picking up any major jobs sept for some freelancing occasionally and starting to highly consider going back to school for digital work. It would be great to have some light shed on these areas before making any decisions that would lead to more debt, haha.

    You're designs are good, it is your technique that is letting you down. Most of your work has decent line work, but the shading and lighting is almost not even there. You need to study how light turns a form. Best of luck!
