    Real contrast in cintiq 22hd?

Does anyone knows whats the some sites of wacom has 550:! like really old cintiqs, some other sites got 1000:1, some sites like amazon they hide it.

Im not sure if wacom its doing it on purpose to make people buy the 24 hd, or probably they are using same old screens on a different format to resell it.

Had anyone bought the cintiq already so he call tell us what it says in the manual specifications?

Found this article talking about contrast, its really interesting

Will love to know also what kind of leds are the ones lighting at the back.

Amazon doesn't hide anything. It's up to the product manufacturer (ie Wacom) or seller to post more information.

I've had to post more technical information or ask them to change images due to incorrect feedback or product info.

If you want to know why can always email Wacom's support and ask too. I've been keeping in contact with one representative so I can help catch bugs with the intuos touch drivers.

You can download the manual on their site, but it doesn't seem to have it in there. I found this comparison on their site too.

    There's a comparison here:
    http://www.wacom.com/en/Products/Cin...%20Models.aspx

    Contrast ratio
    24 touch 850:1
    24 hd 550:1
    22hd 1000:1 (typ), 600:1 (min)

Not sure what the typ and min mean tho...

I was hoping not, that's a pretty big spread to cover. Maybe it's a "cover your ass" thing.

Im not sure many wacom links for different contries contradicts, in wacom mexico says 550:1, in europe 1000:1, in other sites more changes in some sites they even hide it, in wacom us they dont show it.

I wanna know what typ means, is it really 1000? Or its a fancy way to say almost but not?

Anyone using it can confirm it almost twices the contrast comparing old cintiqs?

Im planning to get one, but im not liking that contrast part yet.

Have you contacted Wacom rep in your region to get the specs?

Usually they work M-F so on the weekend they won't answer right away.

Same boat think I have the answer

The 600:1 refers to the lowest contrast ratio you will ever
Get. The 1000:1 refers to the an ideal viewing scenario in a lab
Where a contrast ratio of 1000:1 was achieved. Your ratio is going to fluctuate between 600 and 1000, but the variance is so small the eye will probably not notice. With contras ratio u can only tell the difference with larger variances say
The difference a monitor that is 600:1 and one that is 3000:1 or higher. But a difference of 3-400 steps of black to white are barely if at all apprehensible. I hope this helps. I am getting my next week and use the 24hd at work I will let u know the difference is resolution if u haven't purchased by then

Thats awesome, thanxs, old cintiq was 550:1, and yeah blacks looks washed out a bit, probably because of the back lighting, i dont know were i heard human eye can only see 800:1 contrast, this convince me to get one in amazon, too bad i will get it till september 20.

Hope to see your thoughts about comparing this two tablets, how do you feel about the screen, the coldness and eye strain.

Could you post what you think of the heat it produces vs the Cintiq 24 as well?
